SRISO recently hosted an immigration webinar in partnership with the University of San Diego School of Law Immigration Clinic to help Ukrainian community members better understand their current immigration options and prepare for possible changes.
During the webinar, we discussed important topics related to Uniting for Ukraine humanitarian parole (UHP) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Participants learned about the differences between these programs, important documents to maintain, approaching expiration dates, and steps families can take now to be better prepared for any situation.
The webinar also addressed one of the most important questions facing our community: What may come next for Ukrainians in the United States? While immigration policies can change, receiving accurate information and preparing documents in advance can help families make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary delays.
We are grateful to the USD School of Law Immigration Clinic for sharing its knowledge, answering questions, and helping our community better understand a complicated and uncertain immigration environment.
SRISO will continue connecting Ukrainian refugees and immigrant families with trusted legal information and qualified immigration resources. We encourage community members to follow our updates and participate in future educational webinars.
This webinar provided general educational information and did not constitute individual legal advice.
